To start off, I couldn't resist starting this topic - what is everyones favourite car chase? For me it is Gone In 60 Seconds, for it's length and ability to sustain interest for such a long scene. After that for me it's Ronin which is simply the best modern chase so far. And thirdly I really like The Seven-ups, which is a better and more gritty version of Bullitt in my opinion.

Well its certain i haven't seen as many car movies as you without a doubt. I tend to agree strongly with you on the Ronin car chase. I can't think of a really triking one right now. Most have the same type of excitement, but none really strikes me as incredible. I can't wait to see what Transformers the movie has to offer next year, that should make up for some awesome chases.

The French connection was sweet, by sweet I mean Freaking Amazing, Hardly anything can top it. Taxi, the french original that was crazy good but less real then the french connection, kinda pushing the eveloppe matrix reloaded with a finaly that was more then what most movies call a chase end.
the volks rabbit add is good at that.

Recently i saw Die Hard 4.0 and i gotta say it did have some amazing car shots in it. Transformers sadly didn't have that...

I think both were disappointing in terms of car chase content, but Die Hard 4 was original with the truck vs jet scenario. Transformers was just far too short, finishing before it began. The true contenders for the best chases of this year however are Grindhouse and The Bourne Ultimatum in my opinion.

I saw Grindhouse and i love that movie! The chase were pretty cool but nothing really ubber exciting, in my case anyway. As for Bourne, i haven't seen it yet. If im not mistaking there was also another film called Redline. Did you get to see that?

Well, Grindhouse isn't even out in the UK yet, and the same goes for Redline which I hear was a flop. I have seen the racing scenes, and they are quite drab unfortunately apart from when the exotics get wrecked - a real Lamborghini , SLR and Carrera GT all get destroyed.

They wrecked those cars? lol...Do they even have the budget to risk losing such costy cars just for more "action"?
