Well you probably can read so you get the point of the thread.
Movie theater versus Cellphones
You probably heard this, they are trying to pull a law to let cinema owners block the reception of calls. On one side it would make cinemas going a more confortable experience. On the other side is it safe to block cellphone signals? If it passes will it open the door to other anti-cellphone zones, like libraries and schools then will we all be forced to use the cellphones outside like smokers?

What the heck? Where did you hear such a thing? That would make using a cellular phone useless...

well it would make cell phones useless...cus see if you are stuck in a theater and there's a fire, you're screwed cus you can't use your phone...Imagine if this spreads everywhere eh? How many times had a cellphone saved a life? Many. How many times did a signal blocking saved a life? Never, i even believe it was the cause of a few death.

Well there's pro's and cons for everything. Im all for people not being able to bable away during the movie but is that really going to solve anything? There's still the other group people that dont even need a cellphone to talk all they want during the movie. The con is that there's a trend with laws, once you ban something, then everyone does. That would make cellphone useless or very limited. So if you look at it, its a bad decision in the long run. But that's just my 2C...

arent the highschools and sum cegeps using blockers already? i think at school its just normal... i mean.. r u going to school to talk on the phone or to learn stuff? .. its the same thing for theaters... and the only reasons y they are planning to do this is just because sum.. ''idiots'' dont put their cell on vib... when theyr watchina movie ... anyways about the fire thing said before... i doubt the theater cant call themselve in case of fire.. anyways i think its a good thing.. cellphones are gettin annoyin these days.. neways.. thats my opinion lol

Like i said, that still wont shut up those loud people in the theater, cellphone or no cellphone doesn't change anything. From my personnal experience there's usualy only one person that has his cellphone ring during the movie, and i do say usually, most of the time thats not even the problem, but someone not on a cellphone rather.

r u going to school to talk on the phone or to learn stuff? Is there a third choice like "waste some years"? Seriously, this is annoying... I don't care if they block the phone in theaters, schools and restaurants... that would make a better world for those who don't want to be disturbed by some strange, non-related noice while watching a movie... I can't say ringing because, now, phones play music of all kind or like my friend's cell, it goes louder and louder (répond, répondd..., répond!, répond!!!, CALISSSSS RÉPOND!!!!) I'd like to see that kind of tech in theaters and restaurant seriously... Ok I have to say phone is one of my worse phobia... but that's not important huh?
